About
Xanthohumol

Hop is known as a raw material for beer and are indispensable for its unique bitterness and aroma. In addition, it also has the role of extending the shelf life of beer by antibacterial and preservative properties. It has a long history of being edible, and it has been used since around the 6th century BC. It has been used not only as an ingredient in beer, but also as an herb and medicine due to its rich bioactivity.       Xanthohumol is a flavonoid unique to hops and is a valuable component of about 0.1~0.7% in dried hops. We have already use hop extract for extending shelf life of foods. But in recent years, various physiological activities such as metabolic syndrome have been clarified, so we have developed an extract containing a high concentration of xanthohumol, Asama hop extract.
